Old Town Boutique at The Old Town Theatre in Alexandria, VA

With a new H&M opening soon, a good handful of vintage stores and a strong selection of upscale boutiques, Old Town Alexandria is fast becoming the place to go for a shopping expedition.

Players like Current Boutique, Periwinkle, Pretty People, the Shoe Hive, and Zoe Boutique, among others, are all stores found within a one-mile radius down King Street, which makes Old Town the perfect destination for a day of vintage shopping—or just shopping.

Earlier this week, we joined other fashion press to meet King Street’s fashion retailers at the Old Town Theatre.  The event was held by Old Town Boutique District, a marketing collective of locally-owned businesses in Old Town Alexandria. There was plenty of delicious food, stylish swag, live music, beauty makeovers and libations, and we had the opportunity to learn about the locally-owned shops as well as meet the owners, which proved to be a fun and informative evening.
