Noir & Gold

black lacquer, liquid gold, zero apologies

Onyx lids, molten gold liner and a bronze-dipped pout. Our cover beauty story treats the face like a gallery wall.

Black lacquer, liquid gold and a stare that could strip paint. Noir & Gold turns the face into a canvas: smudged onyx lids, molten metallic liner, a gilded stripe down the nose and lips dipped in bronze. It is beauty as art object, gorgeous and a little menacing, and it ran as the cover story of The Art Issue.
