ADVENTURES IN BEAUTY

Sampling Iceland’s Sóley Organics

Soley Natura Spa

My skin is in love with Iceland.

During my stay, I was lucky enough to check out the Sóley Natura Spa, which was oh-so conveniently located right in my hotel.

What I loved even more than my massage was their line of product: Sóley Organics.

Created by Icelandic actress Sóley Elíasdóttir in 2007, the brand blends hand-picked, wild Icelandic herbs with other natural ingredients to promote skin health, inner harmony, and environmental responsibility.

Sóley’s great-grandmother introduced the former actress to the healing power of herbs, and perhaps summed up the brand’s main motto the best: “God created us on earth and the herbs that can heal our ailments.”

GlOeyI snapped up so much stuff since Sóley is only available in stores abroad. You can, however, shop online, and thank god—at the rate I’m going, refills will be in order very soon.

The entire line is lovely, and I especially like the GLÓey facial exfoliator. It contains peppermint, which is a great way to wake up your face, especially on super sluggish mornings.

But since I’m totally obsessed with scrubs, my absolute favorite product is the Mjúk body polish.

MjukIn Icelandic, Mjúk means "soft", and there’s no better way to describe my skin after using this excellent exfoliant. My entire body glowed, and even though I buffed vigorously, my skin was not at all irritated. Due in large part, I’m sure, to the inclusion of calming epsom salts in this scrub’s fantastic formula.

I’m so ready to go back to this country…

Keep it loud
