Alexander McQueen's Military Inspired Pre-Fall 2011 Collection

The military look is here to stay according to Alexander McQueen's Pre-Fall 2011 collection.

In McQueen's latest collection, which will hit stores between May and July filling the space when spring collections are running low and fall is still being produced,  you'll see lots of bold shoulders with passants, chain embroidery meant to mimic the gold bullion braiding on military uniforms, double-breasted jackets, fur collars, military band inspired shirts, and honeysuckle, the color deemed Pantone's color of the year.

Sarah Burton, Creative Director of McQueen, says of the 2011 Pre-Fall collection:

“Like the men’s collection, it’s about uniformity and has a regimental feel with the richness of ceremonial dress.”

Take a peek at the seven McQueen looks coming to a retailer to you later this year.
