“Cities in Dust” Jewelry Collection Transforms Bullet Casings Into Beautiful Found Objects
Lorenz’s use of rustic materials such as old bullet casings, stones, and feathers keeps to her signature dark aesthetic, but has a slight Metropolis-meets-deco-art feel.
The Chicago native isn't only a jewelry designer, but is a manager of Eskell boutique in Wicker Park and a designer of custom window displays.
As in her life, Lorenz's aesthetic for jewelry is similarly diverse; it is hectic, interesting, and never boring, and comes with a touch of twisted Siouxsie & The Banshees essence.
The standout pieces are the hand crafted brass cuffs with dichroic glass setting. The vintage brass tube beads that are attached to each cuff give it a steam-punk look, while the dichroic glass modernizes it.
The line features a variety of one-of-a-kind necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings and ranges from $38 to $250 and is available on here.
